Sunday

Sunday: San Cristóbal / Cerro Brujo / Leon Dormido
Arriving at Puerto Baquerizo Moreno, SAN CRISTOBAL Island, the crew met us at the airport and escorted us to the Letty. In the afternoon, we visited Cerro Brujo, where we enjoyed a subtle introduction to the Galapagos with a beautiful, white, powder-sand beach.   Snorkeling in the bay was a good introduction to the small reefs.  As the sun sets, we cruised around Kicker Rock (Leon Dormido), a vertical tuff cone formation that abruptly juts up almost 500 feet out of the ocean. Watched sea lions, blue-footed boobies, masked boobies and magnificent frigate birds on the cliffs. We saw rays feeding at the surface, and fish balls created by underwater predators, and hundreds of birds feeding at the top of them.
